INTERESTED IN LITTLE ATHLETICS for your children ??? If your child is aged between 5 and 16, likes to run, jump, throw and meet new friends, come and try Little Athletics !!! The 2012/2013 Season will commence in early October 2012, (after Term 3 school holidays) Please look out for upcoming Registration Information in early September via this website, your local schools and newspapers. For more information, please see the "New Members" Info menu. Last Season's Handbook has a considerable amount of information and can be found under "Club Info" menu.
The Little Athletics Victoria website will be taking online Registrations in September, visit www.lavic.com.au for more information. Results of our Presentation Day are now available under Results and Records menu
TLAC Presentation Day/AGM
Sunday 22nd April, 2.00pm until 4.30pm, at the track
Canteen facilities will be available. All 70% Participation Awards, Age Group, and Centre Awards will be presented along with the Annual General Meeting. If you are unsure if your child has completed 70% of the Centre Meets, please contact us through this website for verification. Only athletes that have attended 70% of the available 13 Centre Meets as a paid member will receive an award.
Nominations for the 2012/2013 TLAC Committee are now available with all positions becoming vacant at the end of this season. Please consider nominating yourself for next Season.
Traralgon Centre Championships
Saturday 17th March 10am start
Good luck to all athletes who have entered our Centre Championships. Could all families please arrive early to help set up. Only athletes that have submitted entry forms can participate in the Championships.
An email has been forwarded to all families with the Duty Roster and timetable attached.

The last Centre Meet for the current season is Wednesday 21st March, 5.15pm
Under 13-16 is the Duty Age Group, please arrive at 4.45pm for set up

Well done to all Traralgon Athletes that competed over the weekend. You should all be very proud of your efforts. Thank you to the Team Managers, Key Officials and Parent helpers who made the 2 days run very smoothly.
Traralgon LAC State Qualifiers and Progressions will be added in the next few days, 1st automatically qualifies, then the next 17 best results complete the State qualifiers. Please inform the Team Managers asap if you are intending to compete at State Track & Field, Bendigo

Only athletes that have filled out an Entry Form can compete on this day. Athletes can choose their favourite events. Ribbons and Age Group Champion Medallions are offered. An Entry Form has been emailed to all Traralgon athletes and are also available at the Office. Entry is free.

Royal Childrens Hospital Relayathon & Fundraising

Big day today with all our athletes joining in the Relayathon to raise money for the RCH. Together they ran 237.25 laps or 94.9 Kms. A huge achievement. It was great to see the athletes running together to support old and new friends. A big thank you to those athletes who turned up at 6am to begin the day. It was a long one but by the looks of things great fun was had by all
Relayathon (Royal Childrens Hospital)
Saturday 12 November, 6.00am-12.00pm
(Modified Centre Meet Program will also be run)
November is the month that we raise money for the Royal Childrens Hospital. This year to commemorate 40 years of Little Athletics being involved with RCH, we are holding a Relay-a-thon. The idea is to have a relay baton continually being carried around the track from 6.00am until 12.00pm. This baton is to be carried by registered athletes, although anyone can join in, including ordinary members. We will have updates each hour on our Facebook site. We aim to make this a fun day with a few surprises in store! Ann will have many goodies at the Canteen with a BBQ as well. We are looking for sponsorship for this event. Please see one of our Committee members at the track or contact us via this website.
LEANNE HARRIS MEMORIAL FUN RUN Sunday 13th November, 9.00am

2km Kids Run/Walk, 5 km Run/Walk, 10km Run/Walk
Please come along and run/walk in honour of Leanne Harris, who passed away along with her father, Max Cranwell in a plane crash in PNG on 11 August 2009. Leanne was a friend to many at Little Athletics. She was a Committee member for several years with two children, Maddison and Thomas being members of TLAC for 6 years. Leanne was a keen runner and competed several half marathons, including the full Melbourne Marathon in October 2008.
After the run/walk, we will heading down to the Star Hotel & Cafe, Peterkin Street Traralgon for refreshments Please join us to honour Leannes' memory.
Entries will be taken from 8.30am, please be early to enable us to start ontime.

Traralgon Little Athletics Centreis very proud to be running a FREEspecial event program for Little Athletics Victoria members in the Gippsland Region. Registered Little Athletes in the Gippsland Country Region will be able compete at the Gippsland Gift, a major running event in Victoria !!!
Races on offer will be 120m sprint and an 800m run. Medallions will be present to 1st, 2nd and 3rd placegetters for each age group (Under 8 to U16 age groups). Under 6 and Under 7 will be involved in invitiational runs.
Athletes will also have the chance to meet World Champion runner, Sally Pearson who will be presenting a Clinic to the athletes. Dont miss this fantastic opportunity to meet one of our greatest hurdlers in the history of Australian Athletics, and also a former Little Athlete !!!
